Shrouded

The Triumphant Return

I'm back! I moved to NYC from a small town in PA and it took the last 6 months to get on my feet. I will be (hopefully) posting regularly now. Please remember, these are all images that I right-clicked from other websites and am hoping that you right-click and share with others. I hate it when photo blogs act like they own the vintage photos they post (unless they are the photographer or subject). My simple mission is to spread joy, share beauty and provoke thought. Enjoy!

Death of Hypatia

Hypatia of Alexandria (born between AD 350 and 370 – 415) was a Greek scholar from Alexandria in Egypt, considered the first notable woman in mathematics, who also taught philosophy and astronomy. She lived in Roman Egypt, and was killed by a Christian mob who blamed her for religious turmoil. She has been valorized as a "valiant defender of science against religion".

Please stop raining, I'll do anything.
